So for Christmas of last year I made my sister some Breaking Bad coasters out of perler beads and enjoyed myself while making them more than I thought I would. Plus, BEADS EVERYWHERE and that’s always amusing in this house with the cats.
I’ve recently started fiddling around with characters because I needed things to put on my desk at work and these are some of the things that have emerged while I have been messing with these while watching Nate play video games. (My next game is Skyrim and I’m scared to start it because I know I’ll never stop.)
At the top you have Trevor, Franklin and Michael from Grand Theft Auto V, next is Oblio and Bodie from the Dance Central series (I’m waiting for silver beads to come in the mail so I can make The Glitterati XD) and last are everyone’s favorite enemy hackers, Kinzie Kensington and Matt Miller from Saints Row: The Third.
I’m already planning on more DC characters, more Saints Row characters and the Persona 4 cast. SOMEHOW I FIND THIS RELAXING? I DON’T KNOW. Maybe I’ll throw some of the later ones up on our Etsy shop? I’m trying to figure out what to put them on - or if they’re fine on their own and I should just make stands for them.
The even ironing of all the beads hasn’t happened yet either. Maybe one day.
It was a Saintly team up between Bria and the fine folks of sewandbro at Katsucon to rock the Space Suits from Saints Row IV. We had a ton of fun wearing these and are absolutely thrilled with how they turned out especially after all the hard work that was put into them. High Fives to everyone at Katsucon who recognized us!
With Bria as Asha Odekar, Heather as Kinzie Kensington, Nate as Matt Miller, Denis as Johnny Gat, and Roger as Boss.
There are a couple of things I want to fix up on this costume (LIKE THAT COLLAR KLDJFK:JSDLFK) but I was really happy I made it! I learned a lot of new things about pattern making and different techniques/materials while working on it.
Nate’s working on a Super Homie Matt Miller and I’ll have time to fix up Kinzie before then. Hopefully then we can have a shoot with all three of us! :D
Here are some shots of some of the awesome Walking Dead cosplayers we met at Katsucon (many thanks to alfred-f-jones for posting these :D)! There will be a post with more shots from the group shoot here soon but here are some for now - with Nate as Daryl. Also featuring Heather as a mid-text, OH GOD THE PONCHO IS GONNA POKE ME IN THE EYE BETTER MOVE Carol, our keys and Roger scratching his nose! ;D
Matt Miller & The Deckers || Saints Row: The Third [MAGFest 2014]
Many thanks to The Whale Baby for snapping these shots! Look for more photos of these in the future (after we stop freaking out about Katsucon, haha) with Specialist skates, a street and more lights! ;)
Check out more Decker goodness and other projects on our newly launched website!
We forgot to reblog this after MAGFest, but after posting the Matt Miller Katsucon photos today we were reminded. XD
Here are the Matt Miller and newly debuted Decker Specialist costumes alongside Roger and Denis’ newly debuted Decker costumes!
Katsucon 2014! We survived! We’ll have a lot of new costumes photos to share here very soon but we HAD TO post these ASAP because we have to talk about one of the things that pretty much made our weekend.
Bria and I were about to go back to the room and change out of our Super Homie Kinzie and Asha costumes and Nate and Roger were in their Matt Miller/Decker costumes at the elevator waiting with us. We were all tired and ready to chill and eat lunch (and my feet were in stupid amounts of pain cause of the boots I wore for Kinzie, hehe) but Nate got poked in the back and when we all looked we saw another Matt who said “I AM YOU FROM THE PAST”! <3
She was an absolute doll and these are some of our favorite photos of the weekend cause it was just so perfect that these costumes happened to be worn at the same time and even more perfect that they could share Nyte Blayde fanfiction together (THAT NOTEBOOK IS PERFECT XD)!
